About Karen Light

Karen Light is the co-illustrator of Modern Farms. She is the Founder, Illustrator, and Creativity Coach at Studio Light Illustration.  Karen partners with authors to nurture humanity through the magic of story-telling. She believes that stories connect us as humans, forge understanding, evoke empathy, and challenge us to think of ways to create a world in which all living creatures can thrive!  Karen can also be found hiking, swing dancing, travelling, spending time with loved ones, or curled up with a good book.

Karen has a BFA in Visual Art from Xavier University and a MA in Cultural Management from City University London.  She also holds several coaching certifications and has been teaching in various capacities for over 20 years.
